Simple step-by-step guide to using your escrow account

This guide shows you how to safely use Pansoko Escrow for deposits, escrow payments, and withdrawals.

1. Your Account

Every user gets a unique User Code. Your user code is:

This code is used when receiving escrow payments from other users.

2. Deposit Funds

To start using escrow, first deposit money into your wallet.

  • Go to Deposit
  • Choose KES Deposit or USD Deposit
  • Enter the amount you want to deposit
  • Complete payment using Paybill or card
  • Wait for the funds to reflect in your wallet
3. Send Escrow Payment

Escrow helps protect both buyer and seller.

  • Go to Escrow Transfer
  • Enter the receiver’s user code
  • Enter the amount
  • Review the charges
  • Confirm and send
4. Escrow Protection

Once you send money through escrow:

  • The funds are held safely by Pansoko
  • The seller cannot withdraw instantly
  • The buyer must confirm delivery
  • Only then is the money released
5. Release or Cancel Escrow

After payment is sent:

  • If satisfied, click Release to pay the seller
  • If there is a problem, click Cancel
  • The seller can approve cancellation or raise dispute
6. Withdraw Funds

You can withdraw your wallet balance to your bank account.

  • Go to Withdraw
  • Choose KES or USD withdrawal
  • Enter your bank details
  • Submit withdrawal request
  • Funds are sent manually after review
7. Withdrawal Charges

Withdrawal charges depend on the bank or transfer partner used. For USD withdrawals, keep at least $2 in your wallet for bank charges.

8. Pending Payments

If your deposit is successful but not yet reflected, visit the Pending Payments page and contact support using the WhatsApp help button.

9. Safety Tips
  • Always confirm the receiver code before sending
  • Never release escrow before receiving goods/services
  • Only use trusted bank details for withdrawals
  • Contact support if something looks wrong
